ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
Along with Mbappe's omission, Ousmane Dembele is also not part of Luis Enrique's latest roster, meaning PSG's attack has a weaker tint to it for the trip south. The Parisians have already wrapped up the title as they sit six points ahead of Monaco with a game in hand, although they will be eager to bounce back from their poor showing in the 3-1 defeat to Toulouse last weekend.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
But the decision to leave out Mbappe has nothing to do with his impending exit. The club confirmed the France captain missed training on Tuesday after suffering from discomfort in his hamstring and is therefore not being risked by Luis Enrique.

Mbappe is set to be crowned Ligue 1's top scorer for the sixth consecutive season. The 25-year-old has scored 27 goals in 29 games, eight more than Lille's Jonathan David in second.

WHAT NEXT FOR MBAPPE?
A rest against Nice should see Mbappe return for PSG's final game of the season against Metz on Sunday. It is set up to be his farewell to the Parc des Princes after a goal and trophy-filled stint in the French capital. His move to Real Madrid could be confirmed after Los Blancos lock horns with Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final on June 1.
